Although each person has different needs, overall, I assist in fostering healing and growth through empathetic and evidence-based approaches. I am committed to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to create, identify and explore your innate strengths while building new ones on your journey towards holistic well-being. With over 15 years experience and as a forever learner, I have had the pleasure of working with diverse populations from young adults, to adults to seniors. I have worked in various settings including hospitals, homeless shelters and primary care clinics providing individual therapy. I am strengths based and have worked with the following modalities: narrative therapy, ACT, DBT/CBT, somatic, healing focused, and culturally sensitive. I believe everyone should have access to mental wellness and healing as life can be stressful, confusing and overwhelming. We may even need support when life is going well and may benefit from an objective perspective. I truly believe therapy can be an opportunity for hope, healing and change.
As a proud person of color and part of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand both the challenges and gifts being part of these communities provide. For anyone who has or is experiencing any kind of oppression, I see you and will provide a safe space where all of you is welcome.
When I’m not working, I am probably hanging out with my husband and dogs (all of which are pretty amazing, I am very fortunate), reading, cycling, working out, exploring the arts (LOVE theatre, museums, music etc.), and connecting with friends (my own support system). Whether we work together or not, I am excited you are on this journey. Peace
